Durham Police Seek Suspect In Kidnapping, Rape, Robbery

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police investigators are looking for 26-year-old Antonio "Tony" Harris, who has been charged with breaking into an apartment on Naples Place and sexually assaulting and robbing the resident.

The resident told investigators that a man armed with a knife broke into herapartment shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, then raped her and stole her cell phone andwallet.

Warrants have been issued charging Harris with first-degree rape, first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Harris, whose address is unknown, is described as a black male, 5 feet 10inches tall and 196 pounds. He frequents the areas of Naples Place, KendrickCircle and the West End.

Harris is out on bond awaiting trial on charges of second-degree kidnapping,assault on a law-enforcement officer, resisting arrest, communicatingthreats and tampering with emergency equipment.
