Suspect Arrested In Kinston Shooting Deaths

KINSTON, N.C. — A man was arrested early Thursday afternoon and charged with aiding and abetting the shooting deaths of two people in Kinston last week.

Anthony Lamont Roberson, 19, of LaGrange was taken into custody around 1 p.m. and charged with aiding and abetting felony murder in connection with the deaths of Donta Suggs and Lageana Brown.

The two victims were amongst seven people found with gunshot wounds around 4 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Macon and Orion streets. One other person was hospitalized in critical condition, while the others were treated for less serious injuries.

Police are also looking for 21-year-old Derek Level Suggs and 27-year-old Milton Lee Jones, both of Kinston, on first-degree murder charges. Both are considered armed and dangerous.
