CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Teresa Dahlberg, an associate professor of computer science at
UNC Charlotte
has received a $2-million National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to help address the problem of dwindling enrollment in IT higher education.
In addition, UNCC is the coordinating university to help manage program development and assessment among a consortium of 10 universities that will be working together in the Students and Technology in Academia, Research and Service (STARS) Alliance, an effort to encourage women and minorities to enter the IT field.
