RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for two men who they believe might be connected to the slaying of a man at a restaurant two weeks ago.

Police put out composite photos of two men who were seen near a truck owned by the victim, Leroy Francis Jernigan.

Jernigan's truck was found in the 900 block of Gardner Street four days after he was found dead inside Circus Restaurant.

Jernigan -- who was not a restaurant employee -- was the owner of Quality Cleaning and Maintenance. He was believed to have been inside the restaurant June 2 to perform cleaning services after the business closed.

It is not known if the fact that the truck was missing is directly associated with the homicide or a separate event, police said.

These men were seen in and around Jernigan's pickup truck after the crime but before it was recovered, police said.

Two composites are being provided of one of the men -- one with sunglasses and one without them.

Police have set up a special telephone number to receive information about the two men shown in the composites. That telephone number, which will be answered 24 hours a day is 919-278-6376, police said.

A reward will be paid for information that assists the investigation of the case.
