CARY, N.C. — Cary police need your help to find a man who they say exposed himself to a 12-year-old boy at Wake County's Cary Public Library.

Authorites said the incident occurred at the Cary Public Library at 1 p.m. Thursday. According to police, the suspect approached a boy in the bathroom and touched the victim on the stomach before someone walked into the bathroom.

The suspect later walked away from the boy, police said. The boy's parents took him to the police station to report the incident.

"This was a terrible crime, and we will be working diligently to find the perpetrator," said Capt. Dave Wulff of the Cary Police Department. "Parents should encourage their kids to tell them about any suspicious activities or crimes."

The suspect is described as a white man, about 40-45 years old. He is between 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing between 150 pounds and 174 pounds.

Police say the man is short, with dark hair with some gray in it. He also has a tattoo on his right bicep. He was last seen wearing a pink polo shirt, blue shorts and black sandals.
