Pair Cited For Scalping Stanley Cup Tickets

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people from Pennsylvania were cited for scalping tickets for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Raleigh police learned of the incident when someone tried to enter the RBC Center for the game. Raleigh police conducted an investigation and found the men were selling tickets for more than $3 above their face value, which is a violation of state law.

Jonathan Scott Lesser, 31, of LaFayette Hill, Pa., and Adam M. Kleiman, 23, of Elkins Park, Pa., were released from custody after being cited. They are scheduled to appear in court July 21.

Police said the victims who purchased tickets through the suspects did not commit a crime, regardless of the purchase price.
