Police ID Car Owner In Durham Hit-And-Run

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham investigators are looking for a man in connection with a hit-and-run that left a recent Duke graduate in critical condition.

Police said Caitlin Donnelly was crossing South LaSalle Street in Durham when she was hit by a 1988 green Honda Accord with North Carolina license plate



Investigators found the vehicle they believe was involved in the incident, but are now looking for the car's owner, Juan Carlos Lopez Barrera. Police are not calling Barrera a suspect, but said they have not ruled him out either.
