CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The FBI on Wednesday offered a $5,000 reward for information in the kidnapping of a 2-year-old Siler City boy on Sunday.
Edwin Sanchez Gonzalez was taken from his mother's home Sunday morning. His mother told authorities that several men forced their way inside and bound her, her father and her cousin with duct tape before taking the boy.
Four men, including the mother's brother, have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping. But Jorge Sanchez Aguilera, 29, the boy's father, remains on the loose, and the boy hasn't been found yet.
An Amber Alert remains in effect for Aguilera and the boy, and authorities said they believe Aguilera to be armed and dangerous.
