Two Men Critically Injured In Fayetteville Shooting; Suspect In Custody

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two men are critically injured following a late night shooting in Fayetteville Sunday.
Police responded to a report of gunshots at 210-1 Leiber Street just before midnight. When they arrived, they found two men who suffered gunshot wounds lying in the yard.
Police said Issac Caspillo was shot in the head and his injuries are considered life-threatening. Aurelio Basurto was shot in the stomach and is expected to recover.
Both men are listed in critical condition following surgery at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
After questioning two people about the shooting, police determined the suspect and arrested Prince Jermaine Rogers. He is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held in the Cumberland County Jail.
