U.S. 301 Temporarily Closed In Cumberland County

RALEIGH, N.C. — The N. C. Department of Transportation temporarily will close U.S. 301 between U.S. 13 and Rich Walker Road in Cumberland County.

The road will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday.

Motorists traveling U.S. 301 North will use the following signed detour route:

  • Turn right onto U.S. 13. Enter I-95 North at Exit 58. Take I-95 North to Exit 61 (Wade Rd.) and turn left, traveling one mile, back to U.S. 301 North.

    • Motorists traveling U.S. 301 South will use the following signed detour route:

  • Turn right onto Wade Road. Enter I-95 South at Exit 61. Take I-95 South to Exit 56 (I-95 Business/ U.S. 301 toward Fayetteville) and follow signs back to U.S. 301 South.

    • The closings are part of a project to construct the Fayetteville Outer Loop.
