<b>PAMLICO COUNTY</b> — An inmate who allegedly stole a van to make his escape is back in jail.

Gary Neal was caught Tuesday night in Edgecombe County.

Investigators said Neal escaped from the Pamlico County jail Monday by stealing a county van. He reportedly took a second vehicle in Lenior County before he was caught.

Neal is serving time for breaking and entering. There's no word on additional charges yet.
