CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — The Memorial Day holiday turned tragic on Jordan Lake.
Gillermo Florez, 14, drowned at Seaforth Beach Monday.
Rescue crews pulled his body from the water around 6 p.m. and tried to revive him.
Florez was pronounced dead at UNC Hospitals.
