RALEIGH, N.C. — A substance abuse program for women got a major boost Monday from Wake County.
The Healing Place of Wake County
plans to open a 100-bed treatment center for women late next year.
Wake County commissioners voted to contribute $1 million toward construction costs over the next four years.
The facility will likely be built on county property off Poole Road.
The Healing Place hopes to break ground in January.
