ACC university presidents voted Friday to invite Miami, Syracuse and Boston College to join the league.
Syracuse and BC are expected to follow if the Hurricanes decide to leave the Big East.
It's not a done deal. After a weekend meeting, Big East officials said Miami's decision might not come this week.
"Miami came here with a totally open mind," Rutgers athletic director Robert Mulcahy told the

of Raleigh at the Big East spring meetings. "That's important."
The athletics directors of the nine Big East schools that play football reportedly met Sunday morning for several hours, with the ACC's effort to grab Miami, Syracuse and BC as the primary topic.
Sunday's talks reportedly involved strategies for how to keep the Big East intact.
