KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — A shooting that involved a Wake County deputy Sunday left a Knightdale man shot in the arm.
According to investigators, it happened when deputies responded to a domestic violence call in Knightdale. Robin Lee, 39, was able to obtain a knife after deputies arrived at the home.
Deputies said they ordered Lee to drop the knife, and when he ignored the order and appeared to move toward them, deputy Darryl Johnson shot him in the arm.
Lee is listed in stable condition at Rex Hospital.
As is the usual procedure in a police shooting, the SBI is investigating, and the Wake County Sheriff's Office is doing its own internal investigation.
