DUNN, N.C. — Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a Dunn man accused of killing his estranged wife.
According to investigators, Kenneth Byrd and his accomplice, Roswitha Morrison, shot Brenda Lancaster eight times last year and dumped her body in a drainage ditch.
Both suspects face first-degree murder charges. Morrison will be tried separately.
