Camp Lejeune Marine To Face Court-Martial For Parachute Tampering

Posted Updated

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune Marine will be court-martialed for alleged parachute tampering.

Lance Cpl. Antoine Boykins faces dozens of charges, including 13 counts of attempted premeditated murder.

Officials say three chutes failed to open during a routine jump last year. An investigation showed someone cut the lines on 13 chutes. No one was hurt in the incident.

Charges were eventually dropped against Lance Cpl. Julian C. Ramirez, who was also accused in the tampering.
