WRAL News has learned Landen Glass, 20, of Goode, Virginia, was released from jail on Thursday afternoon. He will be on electronic monitoring. Part of Glass's release includes the condition that he is not allowed to drive in North Carolina without a valid vehicle inspection.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A bill to turn land in the northeast corner of downtown Raleigh into a mix of homes, shops and offices is full-speed ahead.

The 25-acre site along Blount Street includes about 40 state-owned building -- mostly houses -- and 18 parking lots.A  state motor fleet lot also located there would be moved to the State Fairgrounds.

State office workers would be moved from their North Blount Street location. A new location has not been decided.
