JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a deadly wreck in Johnston County Wednesday afternoon.
A truck from County Electric Supply and a Chevy Lumina were involved in an accident on the Highway 70 Bypass between Selma and Smithfield.
Investigators said the Chevy Lumina, which was travellign east, turned in front of the westbound truck onto Swift Creek Road. The truck then T-boned the car on the passenger side.
Ida Raynor, 70, was killed. Barbara Powell, 50, is in serious condition at Duke.
