SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — Even though Bud Holmberg has not been declared dead, the family of the missing Moore County man will hold a memorial service on Sunday.
The 74-year-old Holmberg, a well-respected philanthropist, disappeared from his boat March 8. Fishermen found his empty boat 18 miles off the coast near Wrightsville Beach.
His body has not been found.
His memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Southern Pines.
