MICRO, N.C. — A collision between a minivan and a tractor put a husband and wife in the hospital Saturday morning.
The accident happened just outside of Micro in Johnston County. The minivan was on Old Beulah Road, crossing the Little Creek River bridge. A John Deere tractor crossed from the opposite direction.
The two vehicles collided on the narrow bridge, smashing the minivan.
A man and woman in the minivan, John E. McKeel and Nova Tyner McKeel, were airlifted to Duke Hospital, where each was listed in fair condition Sunday evening.
A 9-year-old boy was also in the minivan. He's expected to be OK.
