Girl Scout Volunteer Faces Child Exploitation Charges

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested a man and charged him with 16 counts of child exploitation.

Police say 47-year-old Robert Rohrbeck was downloading child pornography on his computer from his job at work. Police say his employer called the FBI and after a 5-month investigation, authorities arrested him.

Authorities later found out he was a volunteer working with the Girl Scouts of Fayetteville. The Girl Scouts of Fayetteville declined to comment on the matter.

Rohrbeck is scheduled to appear in court April 16.
