Duke's Redick Faces Inquiry On Marijuana Use

DURHAM, N.C. — According to an article in the

Chronicle,

Duke basketball player J.J. Redick is among a group of students facing an investigation into alleged marijuana use.

A police report filed early Monday morning states that the five students, including men's soccer players Ian Carey and Ryan Kerlew, were found in a Blackwell Dormitory room after a resident adviser called police to report the smell of marijuana on the second floor.

No drugs were found in the room. But a homemade device for smoking marijuana was discovered.

No criminal charges were filed. Instead, according to the report, the police referred the individuals to the Office of the Dean of Students.
