Wolfpack Baseball Team Up To No. 12 In Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. — With two victories over then-No. 10-ranked Clemson last weekend, the North Carolina State baseball team moved up four spots in the Collegiate Baseball poll -- from 16th to No. 12.
This is the third week in a row that
Collegiate Baseball
has ranked N.C. State in its national poll.
The latest rankings were released Monday.
N.C. State, 23-7 overall and 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, was last ranked as high as 12th on May 5, 1997, when
Collegiate Baseball
had the Wolfpack ranked ninth.
The
Baseball America
and
USA Today Sports Weekly
polls will come out later on Monday.
A week ago,
Baseball America
had N.C. State 17th, and
Sports Weekly
had the Wolfpack No. 21.
