Authorities On Lookout For Warren County Murder Suspect

WARRENTON, N.C. — The State Bureau of Investigaton is asking for the public's help to find a man accused of murdering his sister.

Investigators say Ricky Lee Fleming strangled Deborah Fleming in August of last year. Her body was found in Warrenton 11 days later.

Ricky Lee Fleming has been indicted for the murder. He was last known to be in Wilkes County, Ga., and he has relatives in Virginia, Georgia, Florida and North Carolina.

According to reports, the victim lived in a mobile home park in Warrenton. After her family hadn't heard from her for a while, one of her brothers broke into her home 11 days after she was killed and found her murdered.

An autopsy revealed that Deborah had been strangled to death, and her brother was sought for questioning. He reportedly llived with her and used her car often, and her car was not at the mobile home the day she was found.

Deborah's car was located in Wilkes County, Ga., in early December of 2002. It was in a rural location, and Ricky Lee Fleming's driver's license was found with the car.

The suspect has a criminal record that includes breaking/entering, larceny, drug possession and check forgery.
