DURHAM, N.C. — Alfredo Castaneda, 48, of Durham was arrested Wednesday and charged with 28 counts of first-degree statutory sexual offense and 28 counts of taking indecent liberties with a female child.
The alleged incidents occurred over a five-year period in New Jersey and Durham.
Authorities in Dover, N.J., have also been notified.
Castaneda was placed in Durham County Jail under a $1 million bond.
