CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County's new jail is open for business.
Deputies started transporting inmates Friday to the new $36 million detention center.
Prisoners were moved in groups of 10 under tight security.
Officials say the new jail will open slowly to help ease the transition. They say it will be in full operation in a couple of months.
