Officials Investigate Holly Springs Home Invasion, Kidnapping

Posted Updated

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion and kidnapping in Holly Springs Monday night.

The Sheriff's Office said three armed black men knocked on the front door of Kenneth Grice's home on Three Pond Way between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

According to investigator Steve Hale, the suspects forced their way into the home after Grice opened the door. Hale said two suspects were armed with shotguns and one suspect was armed with a handgun.

Hale said Grice was threatened, assaulted, robbed and his hands were tied behind his back. Grice was robbed of the money he had on him, and then the suspects searched the home for more.

The men then forced Grice into a green Chrysler, drove him around, and then left him along the side of the road along Highway 55 near Apex, according to Hale.

Grice was not seriously hurt.

The suspects were dressed in dark clothes and were wearing dark bandanas over their faces.

No arrests have been made.
