<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection with the early-morning assault on 19-year-old Justin Sherrill of 4714 Beauford Road in Fayetteville.

Benjamin Edwards, 19, was in custody on Sunday, charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault inflicting serious injury.

Sherrill was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center to be treated for head injuries. His condition was not available Sunday.
