Durham Police Look For Shooting Suspects

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police say they are looking for two African-American males who are suspects in a shooting on Dawkins Street Friday night.

According to investigators, there were several people in a residence on Dawkins Street when a black male knocked on the door. When the door was opened, two black males reportedly entered the residence.

Police said one of the suspects reportedly had a handgun, the other a long-barrelled weapon - possibily a rifle.

One victim was shot in the leg multiple times. Another victim was shot in the shoulder. Both victims were transported to Duke for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the shooting may be in retaliation for an earlier assault.
