FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayettville's legendary bicycle man may not have to close up shop after all.
Moses Mathis
has been fixing up kids' bikes for nine years, but he said donations have tapered off, and he cannot afford to pay out-of-pocket expenses anymore.
At one point, he thought he may have to shut down his operation. However, many people have offered to help Mathis out.
Mathis said he needs about $12,000 a year to run his garage.
