RALEIGH, N.C. — A modern-day cattle drive rumbled through west Raleigh Friday afternoon.
Twenty cows and five newborn calves left one grassy pasture for another on an N.C. State University research farm.
University police stopped traffic on the newly opened Edwards Mill Road while staff and students guided the herd to safety.
The cows and calves will be used for teaching purposes.
