RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are investigating a high-speed chase that spanned three counties.

Police say Rita Marie Blosser allegedly stole a white Toyota Camry Thursday afternoon in Cary. Authorities followed Blosser on a chase through Wake and Franklin counties.

Blosser's car was reportedly driving along Highway 401 when it was seen by a Rolesville police officer. When the officer tried to chase the vehicle, he was involved in an accident with another car.

Officials say the officer and the driver of the other car are doing fine.

Authorities say Blosser was later arrested on Highway 97 in Nash County. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
