FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are looking for a killer after a man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon during an argument outside a convenience store.

According to reports, 20-year-old Antonio Singletary was walking along Bragg Blvd near the intersection with Mike Street shortly after 3:30 p.m. when a car with several occupants pulled up to him in the parking lot of J-and-J Fast Mart.

Witnesses said Singletary and the car occupants got into an argument. Following some shoving and pushing, Singletary was shot.

Singletary reportedly staggered into the store, where he collapsed just inside the door.

He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have questioned witnesses who were inside the store, or pumping gas. They say they are looking for a small red or burgundy car, possibly a Ford Escort or similar vehicle.
