Raleigh Taxi Drivers Decide Not To Strike On New Year's Eve

RALEIGH, N.C. — There is good news for those who plan to take a cab on New Year's Eve. Raleigh cab drivers will not go on strike.

Drivers had threatened to walk out because of higher insurance rates imposed by the state. They are also concerned about treatment by city officials.

Drivers met with city officials before Christmas to discuss their concerns. Now, they say they are in discussions with state officials.

Drivers say if the issues cannot be resolved, they may strike at a later date.
