Woman Accused Of Murdering St. Augustine's Student Pleads Guilty To Lesser Charge

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman originally charged with the murder of a Saint Augustine's College student has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Dawn Carpenter was charged with the murder of Dumond Wright more than two years ago.

But, under a plea agreement, Carpenter pleaded guilty to harboring a fugitive.

She was sentenced to six to eight months in prison.
