Police Arrest Suspect In Three Robberies; Search Continues In Another Case

RALEIGH, N.C. — Within hours of a robbery Wednesday morning, Raleigh police made an arrest and cleared two other robberies that occurred within days of each other.

Antuan Tremaine Graves, 19, of Mebane was arrested in the Rogers Lane area following an early morning robbery of the Red Roof Inn on Maitland Drive.

In addition to Wednesday's robbery, Graves is a suspect in a Nov. 24 robbery at the Subway at Tower Shopping Center and a Nov. 21 robbery at the Radio Shack at Tower Shopping Center.

Authorities in Mebane said they have warrants on file for Graves, charging him with embezzlement and larceny from employer.

Meanwhile, in a case that remained unsolved as of Wednesday afternoon, police were looking for a masked robber who held up Miami Subs early Tuesday.

The robbery was the second robbery at the sandwich shop at 2114 E. N.C. 54 this year.

According to reports, a man with a shotgun reportedly took $1,800. The suspect's face was covered with a stocking mask.

Police say the The suspect entered through a back door, forced several employees into a storage freezer and forced another employee to empty the cash register and open the store's safe.

When the employee said he didn't know the combination, according to police, the suspect pulled the assistant manager out of the freezer, held a gun to his head and told him to open the safe.

After the assistant manager opened the safe, he was reportedly pushed back into the freezer.

When the suspect fled, he took the store's surveillance video with him.

Police have asked that anyone with information about the robbery call CrimeStoppers at 683-1200.
