Exit Express To Provide Quicker Way For Travelers To Leave RDU International

Posted Updated

RDU INTERNATIONAL — Getting out of RDU International can take some time, but this time next year, it will be a lot faster.

A new plan called Exit Express will allow travelers to pay for parking as they leave the terminal, rather than paying at toll booths.

A new parking exit area being built will have most lanes set up for Exit Express, but travelers will still be able to pay at the booths.

The Airport Authority has also approved construction of a new operations building.

The five-story, $6.5 million center will house RDU's police department as well as its parking and ground transportation departments.

The building will be built near the new parking exits area and Terminal C. Construction is expected to take 18 months.
