Volunteers To Spend Weekend Searching For Hope Mills Man

Posted Updated

HOPE MILLS, N.C. — Dogs, horses, boats and planes are searching the wooded areas near Hope Mills for a man who has been missing for eight months.

More than 200 volunteers started scouring the area Friday, trying to find

Kent Jacobs

.

Jacobs, who is mentally challenged, disappeared a week before his 42nd birthday, while taking a walk near his mother's Hope Mills home on March 10.

Searchers admit they are looking for his remains and have little hope he is still alive. They plan to continue their search through Sunday.
