Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville teen is charged with several robberies and the assault of a neighbor.

Fayetteville police arrested Jerell Wilson, 16, Thursday night. They said Wilson assaulted John Boyce earlier this week.

Boyce had just returned home from a walk with his wife around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. When the couple entered their home, Boyce was severely beaten by an intruder inside the home.

Police said Wilson lives down the street from the couple.

Police also believe the teen is responsible for several other robberies in the Ramsey Street area. They said Wilson robbed people while he was riding a bike.
