Posted Updated

BUTNER, N.C. — The water tower in Granville County, where a construction worker was killed Wednesday, is still standing.

Workers were only able to get part of the wreckage down Thursday afternoon.

Workers stopped trying around 5 p.m. and they said they will not resume until crews can figure out how to get the rest of the tower down safely.

Three other workers were hurt in the accident.
