FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 17-year-old mother is dead and a 12-year-old boy is in the hospital after they were both shot in Fayetteville late Thursday afternoon.

The teen's uncle, Domonic Johnson, 20, is charged with murder. He is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on $500,000 secured bond.

Investigators said Ja'Crystal Fenwick was shot three times and Anthony Parker was shot twice as they sat on the porch of a mobile home at Tanglewood Estates near Dothan Drive and Alabama Lane.

Parker is listed critical condition at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Investigators said Johnson shot through the front window of the home several times during an altercation with two other men.

Police do not believe Fenwick and Parker were the intended targets.

Fenwick was the mother of a 14-month-old daughter and a student at South View High School.

Witnesses said two people were in a green car playing cards near the mobile home when they started shooting.
