DURHAM — Two weeks after Durham city manager Marcia Conner announced she was starting the search for a new police chief all over again, there is not much movement at city hall.
Conner said she hoped to have a new chief in place within two to four weeks after that announcement; however, a search committee has not been formed yet.
The deadline for applications is in 10 days. No word on how many people have applied so far.
The previous search for a police chief lasted nearly eight months.
