DURHAM, N.C. — A Duke University student was allegedly attacked in her west Durham home early Thursday morning.
Police said the attack at the home on Wilkerson Avenue is the second sexual assault on that street in less than three months.
Police believe one man may be responsible for both attacks.
Officers met with concerned homeowners Thursday evening during a community watch meeting.
Durham police said sexual assaults are a problem all over the city -- not just on Wilkerson Ave -- and have formed a sexual assault task force to teach residents how to protect themselves.
