Church Bus Driver Charged In Collision With Dump Truck

FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — The driver of a church activity bus faces charges in a collision with a dump truck in Franklin County Thursday afternoon.

The Highway Patrol said Monique Gillis drifted over the center line on State Highway 56 near Louisburg, hitting a dump truck head on.

Authorities said there were no passengers on the church bus.

Gillis and Robert Stallings, the driver of the dump truck, suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
