DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man who has been helping his own community will soon be a familiar face across the country.
Ted Rogers Jr.,
of Durham, is one of the castaways on the latest edition of
Survivor
.
CBS announced the latest group of 15 contestants Thursday.The group was stranded on an island off Thailand to compete for the million-dollar prize.
"Working in corporate America, you do have to adapt to changes immediately, in a second's notice. So for me, I had years and years of practice and so I'm just going to apply that principle here with the Survivor challenge," Rogers said.
The fifth installment of the series begins September 19 on CBS.
