Raleigh Police Arrest Suspect In Assault On Officer

RALEIGH, N.C. — The man Raleigh police suspect of wounding one of their own is in custody.

Sequon Ahmad Wright, of Magnolia, faces several charges, including assault with intent to kill or cause serious injury.

Police said officer G.J. Palczak was cut on the arm while trying to arrest Wright in a park on Davie Street August 1.

Palczak was treated and released from WakeMed.

Wright also is charged with possession with intent to sell acounterfeit controlled substance, trespassing and resisting arrest.

He is being held in the Wake County Jail.
