JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — One person is dead after a wreck at the intersection of Highway 242 and 55, just outside of Benson Tuesday morning
The state Highway Patrol said the wreck, involving two vehicles, happened just after 11 a.m.
Three other people were injured and transported by medical helicopter to UNC Hospitals and Duke Medical Center.
There is no word on their names or the extent of their injuries.
