PINEHURST, N.C. — The state is investigating a Moore County day care that forgot a 4-year-old in a park.
Tate Hess, 4, was on a field trip last week with St. Josephs of the Pines Generations Daycare Center. Teachers made a mistake in the headcount and accidentally left without him.
Another mother found Tate and called police. Now, state officials said they are investigating.
