RALEIGH — Five more children at a Raleigh day care have come down with
Shigellosis
, bringing the total students at the center with the disease up to seven.
One adult at the KinderCare Daycare Center on Bridgeport Road has also tested positive for the fairly common infectious disease, which can cause diaarrhea, fever and stomach cramps.
Children in some classes are required to be tested, while the Health Department is suggesting that other students be tested as well. It is unclear how many tests will be conducted and when the results will be available.
